Augustin Frison-Roche

Just before acquiring the estate, we were searching for an image to represent us. We had set our hearts on a tree of life — one teeming with life, filled with a profusion of flowers, birds, and other creatures. We wanted life to overflow from the tree itself.

Augustin Frison-Roche painted our tree. He added the sun and the moon — so essential to all living things. And as ever with Augustin, those who look closely will find a wealth of symbols within it. The original painting was made in Indian ink on canvas.
